What DigiLegal is
DigiLegal (operated by Digilegal Services Pvt. Ltd.) is a legal research and practice-management platform for advocates, law firms, judges, and corporate legal teams in India. Our services include an authentic legal database (judgments, acts & rules), case tracking, eCourt cause-list tools, document tools, and related professional features available to subscribed users at www.digilegal.co.in.
App functionality relevant to Google access
Subscribed DigiLegal users can open the eCourt Dashboard to view tracked court cases and upcoming hearing dates. An optional feature lets users sync hearing dates to their own Google Calendar so reminders appear in the calendar they already use.
- User initiates Connect / Sync from DigiLegal eCourt Dashboard.
- User signs in with their Google account and grants consent.
- DigiLegal creates or updates calendar events for hearing dates the user chooses to sync.
- User can disconnect at any time from the same screen.
Google API scopes (minimum necessary)
DigiLegal requests only the minimum Google Calendar scope required to create and update hearing events on the signed-in user’s primary calendar:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events
We do not request Gmail read/send scopes, full Google account access, or broader Calendar scopes (such as full calendar list management) for this feature. Access tokens are used in the user’s browser session to call Google Calendar APIs; DigiLegal does not sell Google user data.
How we use Google user data
- Access: With your consent, DigiLegal’s eCourt Dashboard uses Google OAuth to obtain a short-lived access token for Calendar Events.
- Use: Solely to create/update/delete hearing-date events that you sync from DigiLegal.
- Store: DigiLegal does not permanently store your Google Calendar contents. Optional local browser storage may remember connection preference for your DigiLegal user session.
- Share: DigiLegal does not share Google Calendar data with advertisers or unrelated third parties. Data is sent only to Google’s Calendar API as needed to perform the sync you requested.
